Commonwealth Brands, Inc. began
exclusive distribution of Bali in 2005. The brand was initially marketed in 1932
in Denmark and introduced to the United States' roll-your-own market in 1998. It
is the only true European hand-rolling tobacco sold in the United States.
Bali Shag is produced by Peter Stokkebye Tobacco Factory in Denmark with hand-stripped
leaf tobacco of the highest quality and true tobacco taste.

Bali Shag is available in three styles.
- Bali Halfzware Shag is a traditional Dutch-style hand-rolling tobacco blend
of rich dark Kentucky and golden Virginia tobaccos providing a full flavor.
- Bali Light Halfzware is a traditional Dutch-style hand-rolling tobacco blended
from a variety of mellow dark Kentucky and golden Virginia tobaccos providing a
satisfying taste and mild flavors.
- Bali Golden Shag is blended from the finest Virginia and orient tobaccos with
a fine silk cut for hand rolling providing a full-flavored taste.
